A Warm Welcome

JFK Special School is a founding member of the Learning in Harmony Multi-Academy Trust along with Sheringham Primary School. The school offers specialist provision for pupils with special and additional needs-based across four sites in Newham. Our capacity now is for 139 students in total. Pupils are admitted from Reception to Year 14.

The Stratford site offers specialist provision for up to 50 students with sensory and medical needs. This site is equipped with sensory and soft play rooms, as well as large classrooms equipped with tracking hoists and outdoor equipment for students who are more independently mobile.

The Beckton site offers specialist teaching and learning for up to 59 students with autism and communication needs. This site has developed its outdoors space and use of local facilities to support independence and life skills and offers a structured teaching and learning approach.

The North Woolwich caters for up to 18 younger students with autism and communication needs. The site offers large classrooms, specialist therapy rooms and equipped outside space.

The newly opened Plaistow site offers specialist learning for up to 25 students with autism and communication needs for Secondary - Post 16. The site offers large classrooms, a therapy room and a common room where students can eat lunch and socialise.
