Young Ambassadors for Mencap

JFK Stratford Students, representing the charity Mencap as their Young Ambassadors, travelled to central London in order raise funds for Celia Hammond Animal Trust. The Young Ambassadors baked Christmas cakes at school and took them to Mencap’s central office on the 16th of December. The event empowered them to organise a stall and interact with lots of new people whilst gaining numeracy skills assuming full responsibility for the transactions on the day. The event was a real success and cakes were still selling after students headed back for school. The event was also being followed live on Twitter!!
