I cannot believe that the term has come to a close! Time has flown since September and 2017 is just around the corner.
However, this term has been a productive one filled with fun and varied learning activities, such as -
A residential visit to an outdoor activity centre in Devon. The students thoroughly enjoyed their experience, learning new skills and coping with living away from home!!
Parent meetings for our newer parents/carers as well as more focused workshops. I would like to invite all parents to our meetings in the New Year, so please watch out for the invitations.
Shaun Dodds has now settled in as our Deputy Headteacher and he brings a great wealth of experience. He is also enjoying getting to know the students and parents and carers.
Doris Agyei joined the school in September as our new full time nurse. She is based at our Stratford Site.
In addition we now have Allira Jensen & Kirstyn Ferry (Speech & Language Therapists) also Tara Morrison & Kim Wood our Occupational Therapists. They work across both sites on a part time basis so if you wish to speak with any staff please contact the office to arrange to speak to someone.
We will also be saying goodbye to Luis Cano Arias who has taught at John F Kennedy for the past nine years and across both sites. He has been an inspiration to both students and staff, he will be greatly missed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luis for his hard work and professionalism over the past 9 years.
So as 2016 comes to a close I would like to thank all of our parents, carers, staff & governors for their continued support and our students for being such engaging and determined individuals.
