Letters from the Head

21July 2017

A hearty Hello to all parents, carers and professionals.

This year has been a full and eventful one!  There have been residential visits where students achieved so much, ranging from the outdoor activities such as abseiling to independent living skills and cooking their own meals.  In addition we have had an 'Outstanding' judgement by Ofsted.  I hope that you all have read the glowing report.  This confirms to me how much expertise and passion there is a JFK to ensure that all our students thrive and grow.  I wish to thank all of our committed staff team which has enabled this to happen.

It is unfortunate that we have to say goodbye to Laura Skeffington, who is going home to Ireland to work.  She has been with us for 4 years and brought a great deal of joy and music to our students - especially on St Patrick's Day this year!

This year as Headteacher has been a special one and I look forward to next year and getting to know our new students and families and continuing with all the fabulous work that this school excels at.

Please enjoy the summer break, we look forward to seeing all student on Wednesday 6th Sepember
